In the first Part we showed you only Ferrari (see Part I here).
In the second part we are going to show you the interior, dashboard and steering wheels of all different brands.
Some of them are extremely well known like Maserati AG6200o or Mercedes Benz 300SL Roadster, but other interiors are of very rare Pegaso which is seldom seen. Again our reason for doing an ‘interior’ only post is because often the interior is not in focus unless your the owner and often then the interior gets taken for granted.
So enjoy the interiors of many different brands, some of which you hopefully will not see everyday.
For the first picture we will show you one of the most original interiors ever seen. A completely original interior 300SL Roadster made in the end 1950s.
The seats are just as they left the Mercedes factory nearly 60 years ago.
Notice also the original owners manual (also original and not a copy) in the center console.
Staying within Germany we show a magnificent Porsche 550 Spyder. A seldom seen car and this view is just superb! The interior beige leather suits the silver outside just perfectly.
Here another Porsche 550 Spyder seen earlier this year at Essen. Other than the slightly different steering wheel the layout is much the same.
Next we show some Italian cars. Specifically Maserati. Below an ultra – rare 5000 GT. The interior is a dream – it was Maserati’s answer to the 400 Superamerica from Ferrari. Owners of the 5000 GT included Agnelli, Shah of Persia and Briggs Cunningham.
Another rare and beautiful Maserati was the A6G 2000 from Zagato. This car won its class this year at Villa d’Este. Notice the white piping along the seats which was original to the car.
Notice also the open gate gearshift – reminding me of Ferrari and the 275 GTB.
The last Maserati is also a dream – a touring A6G2000. The interiors of these early Maserati can easily match Ferrari or Aston Martin in my opinion.
We continue with Italy but move on to Lancia. Is this interior not a dream? This is pure elegance for me. I am also loving the tobacco interior.
Lets move on to another rare brand. Pegaso. It was a rare Spanish manufacture from the 1950s and 60s that made some very exclusive and technically advanced cars. The interior is also elegant and sophisticated.
In the 1950s there was another car manufacturer that no longer exists today. It is called OSCA and was founded by some ex-Maserati engineers including one of the Maserati brothers. Notice the Maserati connection on the steering wheel.
Another well known Italian brand made some beautiful cars in the 1950s. Alfa Romeo. The emblem (one of the nicest in my opinion) clearly gives it away.
Next we move on to another Pegaso. Although Pegaso is very rare this year there were several shown at Villa d’Este.
For the last car we show a superb and unique Jaguar which is a one – off car built by Zagato. The exterior of the car is a dream and the interior is not bad also (although leather would have been my preferred choice rather than cloth). A very elegant car none-the less.
